Fast Food Dieting for a Healthier Body and a Better Marriage

If you want to maintain a healthy body and a healthy marriage then don’t eat fast food. Yep, that’s right – I’m sure you’ll understand what I mean shortly when I say that fast food addiction increases your chance of needing divorce lawyers.
Fast food makes you accumulate fat like nothing else. That’s because it’s loaded with unhealthy fats and sugar.
As your arteries clog up with fat your whole body begins to go down hill, but that’s not the only killer.
Think of the tension it causes on your wallet. The average fast food meal costs roughly $7. Now if you’re in the practice of upsizing it’ll most likely cost you $7.60 – yes, twice the fat for 10% added cost. Now that’s value!
For any family of perhaps, two grown ups and 3 kids, that’s a meal cost of $35. Add to that another $5 for car costs to get to the fast food outlet and back and that is an overall total meal cost of more than $40.
What’s the alternative? How about buying some nutritious ingredients while you’re at the supermarket. A pack of low fat meat, vegetables and maybe some rice. It only needs to cost you ten to fifteen dollars to feed two adults and a few children, and maybe 30-45 minutes to cook it up.
Ok, I can understand that it’s not as convenient as buying fast food, but then the outcome of habitually eating fast food isn’t that convenient either.
For a start, there’s $25 you’re saving on each and every fast food family meal. For an addict, that adds up to $100 per week or $5000 per year. On top of that there’s the cost to your health.
Financial stress is one of the biggest factors in divorce. Just imagine investing $5000 per year in your marriage and your family instead of handing it over to the fast-food giants.
What about taking a $5000 annual pay cut in exchange for some more annual leave time. That way you might get to spend some real time together and not be strangers under the same roof.
Just what else might you do with an additional $5000 every 12 months? Pay off the home loan a lot more quickly? Take your spouse out to a fine eating place every fortnight and paying a babysitter so that you are able to have some ‘together’ time?
So that’s it. If you want to keep away from divorce lawyers, keep away from fast food. It will be good for your body, your wallet and your marriage.
