What is Adobe After Effects?

The new Adobe After Effects allows you to work with sophisticated tools and enjoy tight integration with Adobe ‘s leading design applications while you deliver stunning work to virtually any media type. Design from scratch or jump-start projects from hundreds of customizable presets and templates — all from within a streamlined interface. After Effects uses a system of layers organized on a timeline to create composites from still images and motion footage, such as video files. Properties such as position and opacity can be controlled independently for each layer, and each layer can have effects applied. After Effects is often described as the "Photoshop of video", because its flexibility allows compositors to alter video in any way they see fit, as Photoshop does for images.

This application is the ideal tool for creating and optimizing images for the web and rapidly prototyping websites and web applications. Fireworks CS3 offers the flexibility to edit both vector and bitmap images, a common library of prebuilt assets, and timesaving integration with Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, and Adobe Flash CS3 software. Mock up designs quickly in Fireworks, or leverage other assets from Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash. Then move directly into Dreamweaver CS3 for easy development and deployment.

Adobe After Effects is up next to bat. I didn’t realize there were so many features to Creative Suite 3. It has been almost an entire both of reviewing a new application every other day. Hope everyone is enjoying these reviews because this series won’t be over for awhile.
