Adobe Bridge is an organizational program created and released by Adobe Systems as a part of the Adobe Creative Suite . Its primary purpose is to link the parts of the Creative Suite together using a format similar to the file browser found in previous versions of Adobe Photoshop . Bridge is also included with the stand-alone Photoshop application, and can perform certain Photoshop processing functions separately (and simultaneously) with Photoshop itself.

Bridge has many functions such as batch rename and other utilities to help with organization, and supports editing of digital images in Camera Raw format. Organizational features include assigning colored labels or star ratings to images, the ability to edit the XMP and IPTC metadata embedded within an image file, and the ability to work with different versions and alternates of a file that is part of an Adobe Version Cue project.

Some software in the family is commercial, and some free of charge (freeware). Adobe Reader is available as a no-charge download from Adobe’s web site, and allows the viewing and printing of PDF files.

As of April 2007, the current main members of the Adobe Acrobat family are:

• Adobe Reader 8 (previously Adobe Acrobat Reader)
• Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard
• Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional
• Adobe Acrobat 8 Elements (withdrawn before release)
• Adobe Acrobat 3D Version 8
• A growing collection of server and specialist products

Distiller is part of the Adobe Acrobat family of products. Distiller is the main engine for turning PostScript files into PDF documents. Although there are other programs for generating PDF files, Distiller is the primary one. Some page layout programs can generate PDF files from within the program, but are often simply acting as a frontend to Distiller, which must also be installed. With Distiller, you can:
