Our Suggested Best DROID Travel Apps (Part 2)
TripIt– Have the ability to always know the status of your flights and other arrangements just by using this handy DROID app. Even if you don’t have a computer you can view your trip’s itinerary info right from your DROID. Use your itinerary to link to other items of interest like car rentals, hotels, restaurants, shopping and quite a few more. Tap your finger and you can even get yourself a map complete with directions to the locations as well. The TripIT DROID app will help you from ever missing or being late for a flight again!
WeatherBug Elite– This Android weather app does all it can to bring an even more personal version of the weather to the people who use it. View your national and local weather forecasts along with radar animations that offer you even more information on the weather patterns for your particular area. Multiple different weather cameras allow you view time lapse footage of the weather over a certain period of time. Of course you can see the temperature and whether their will be rain or snow with WeatherBug Elite app for DROID, but the other options that come with it are just not offered by many other weather apps.
Waze– A traffic based social media app would describe the Waze DROID app. With this ap you can check out the traffic information on an area and add your own personalized info regarding it as well. Let people know where road work is occurring, or speed traps are, slow traffic, or anything that is causing a traffic delay. Don’t type and drive or you may cause an accident yourself, but you could update someone on the traffic spot that you were not alerted to. That way they don’t have the same misfortune and can just use the Waze apps built in map to make their way around it. You can even take a picture of the traffic event or place and upload it.
Flight Stats– Stay informed of your flight information while travelling the easy way with the FlightStats DROID App. Get info on multiple different airports globally with website, contact information, and your itinerary given to you in real time. Just in case you may need it, there is even an option for direct access to departure and arrival gates and times so that you won’t have to worry about being late for a flight again…
Places Directory– There is nothing surprising about what the Places Directory Android app is. It is a directory with all types of different categories(restaurants, bars, hotels, motels, movie theaters, banks and atm’s, etc.) that you can search that are located nearby you. The Places Directory app for DROID can also allow you to see distance, directions via Google maps to locations, and even photo’s and ratings for places you see in the listings. If you want to know a little more than you already do about your area or one you visit, use the Places Directory DROID app to “read all about it”.
Celeste SE– A starry Android App that lets you visually track the movement of our solar system. The Celeste SE DROID app gives you the opportunity to interact by pointing your camera at the sky to find and object. Your smartphones GPS system is then used to help bring up overalyed graphics in 3D of what your looking at along with other facts about it. Multiple customization options make this a great app for star and planet gazers.
